Apple Tree - Spartan Bush (MM106)
Availability: Out of stock
Add a splash of rich colour and irresistible flavour to your garden with the Spartan Apple Tree, a striking, late-season variety that’s as beautiful as it is bountiful. In spring, enjoy a flurry of soft white blossoms with a blush of pink, creating a stunning display that beckons bees and butterflies.
By October, the tree is heavy with small to medium-sized apples, cloaked in deep, glossy maroon-red skin. These apples have a refreshingly sweet flavour and subtle hints of berry, perfect for eating straight from the tree or adding a twist to salads and desserts.
Â
'Spartan' flourishes in full sun with well-drained, fertile soil. Prune lightly in winter, feed in early spring with general fertiliser and mulch annually to keep roots moist and weed-free. Planting near another apple variety ensures the best crop. This tree is ideal for traditional gardens, family spaces, or compact orchard-style borders.
Â
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a MM106 rootstock, this semi-dwarf variety of rootstock reaches an ultimate height of 3-5m and most of the crop should be accessible from the ground, picking fruit from higher up on the tree may require a ladder.Â
