Apple Tree - Sunset Bush (MM106)
Availability: Out of stock
Bring warmth and flavour to your garden with our Sunset Apple Tree, a delightful, compact variety admired for its glowing fruit and excellent taste. In spring, it bursts into life with clouds of pale pink blossom, adding charm and attracting bees in abundance. By mid-autumn, this bushy tree rewards you with medium-sized apples, flushed red and orange over golden-yellow skin, akin a sunset in fruit form. The creamy flesh is crisp, aromatic, and perfectly balanced between sweet and sharp, ideal for snacking, baking, or juicing.
'Sunset' thrives in full sun and loves well-drained, fertile soil. Minimal care is needed, only prune lightly in winter, feed in early spring, then mulch yearly to retain moisture and battle off weeds. A reliable performer in small gardens, cottage-style borders, or patio containers, it's also one of the best choices for cooler regions and more exposed sites due to its full-hardiness and disease resistance.
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a MM106 rootstock, this semi-dwarf variety of rootstock reaches an ultimate height of 3-5m and most of the crop should be accessible from the ground, picking fruit from higher up on the tree may require a ladder.Â
