Apricot Tree - Kioto Bush (Julien A)
Availability: Out of stock
Add a splash of Mediterranean charm to your garden with the Kioto Bush Apricot Tree, a compact, fruiting delight perfect for patios, small gardens, or large containers. In early spring, it puts on a show of soft pink-white blossom, followed by a summer harvest of golden-orange apricots with a warm blush and rich, aromatic flavour. The fruit is sweet, juicy, and ideal for fresh eating, baking, or making jam. This self-fertile variety is both ornamental and productive, offering beauty and bounty in one neat package.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained, loamy or sandy soil, the Kioto Bush is easy to maintain with light annual pruning and regular watering during dry spells. It's best suited to cottage gardens, Mediterranean, or contemporary courtyard gardens, especially when planted in a warm, sheltered spot like a south-facing wall. Mulch yearly to retain moisture and boost soil health. With minimal care, this hardy little tree will reward you with blooms in spring and delicious fruit from mid to late summer.
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a St. Julien rootstock. This semi-vigorous variety produces trees smaller than their own roots, reaching an ultimate height around 2m, perfect for smaller gardens. St. Julien can thrive in a wide variety of soil types.
