Gage Tree - Cambridge Bush (Julien A)
Availability: Out of stock
Sweet, juicy, and full of old-fashioned charm, the Cambridge Gage is a much-loved variety producing tea-green fruits with a rich, honeyed flavour. Ripening from late August, the smooth-skinned gages are perfect for eating fresh, bottling, or using in traditional English puddings.Â

In spring, delicate white blossom smothers the branches, attracting pollinators and signalling the start of the fruiting cycle. With its compact, bushy habit, ‘Cambridge’ is well suited to kitchen gardens, walled spaces, or smaller orchards. It flourishes in full sun and moist, well-drained, fertile soil. 'Cambridge' needs only light summer pruning and watering during dry spells to maintain. Easy to grow and self-fertile, it’s a rewarding choice for gardeners seeking classic flavour in a compact form.

Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a St. Julien rootstock. This semi-vigorous variety produces trees smaller than their own roots, reaching an ultimate height of around 2m, perfect for smaller gardens. St. Julien can thrive in a wide variety of soil types.
