The Katinka Bush is an early-ripening variety that brings both beauty and flavour to the garden. In early spring, it bursts into a froth of white blossoms. By summer, the tree produces a heavy crop of medium-sized plums. Juicy, sweet, and slightly tangy, they’re delicious straight from the tree, as well as ideal for jams, pies, or compotes.
Compact and easy to care for, this bush form is perfect for small gardens, family plots, or traditional orchards, offering a generous harvest without taking up too much space. Thriving in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, it’s hardy and reliable, performing well even in cooler climates. Minimal winter pruning keeps it neat and productive, while watering in dry spells and mulching each spring will ensure plump, flavourful fruit. 'Katinka Bush' is a wonderful choice for gardeners who want to enjoy home-grown plums sooner in the season.
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers at 150-170cm tall grafted on a St. Julien rootstock. This semi-vigorous variety produces trees smaller than their own roots, reaching an ultimate height of around 2m, perfect for smaller gardens. St. Julien can thrive in a wide variety of soil types.
