Tomato 'Mortgage Lifter' is a legendary mid-to-late season beefsteak variety famed for its incredible history and giant, heavy-yielding fruit. These massive, slightly flattened, pinkish-red tomatoes regularly weigh between 500g and 1kg, with a rich, sweet, low-acid flavour. Developed in the 1930s, this heritage champion is highly prized for its meaty texture and exceptionally few seeds, making it an absolute must for slicing into sandwiches.

A vigorous grower that can reach heights of up to 2 metres, this plant needs exceptionally strong support or a sturdy tomato cage to bear the weight of its fruit. For the best results, plant in a hot, full-sun position and maintain consistent watering to prevent the large fruits from cracking.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
