Tree Peony, Paeonia suffruticosa 'Red', Supplied in a 1.5-2.5L Pot: A most attractive deciduous shrub suitable for a bit of glamour in the garden with a perfect location in your garden area. This variety of Tree Peony is known for its big, showy red flowers that bloom between the late spring and the start of summer. The flowers are often very fragrant, contrasting beautifully with the deep green, glossy leaves. It is truly a natural display not to be missed.
Ideal for border or specimen, or used to add as a focal point in cottage and woodland garden settings, 'Red' does best with positioning in full sun to partial shade. Fertile, well-drained soil is preferable. The plant does best in a sheltered spot so that the delicate blooms aren't whipped off by strong winds; but, on the other side, benefits from a mulch of well-rotted organic matter once a year, whereby the soil retains its moisture and nutrients.
