Tulip Princess Irene is a flamboyant variety that produces flame-like, sweetly scented, bright orange flowers; conical at 
first, as they gradually open to reveal a gloriously symmetrical egg shape, they will make such a dazzling display in any garden come Spring.
Princess Irene looks particularly wonderful, interspersed with muscaris, narcissi and tulips, ideal for adding a 
bit of color to the borders of a spring garden, containers and flower arrangements.
The 'Princess Irene' was awarded the Garden Merit Award by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Hints

Plant bulbs from mid to late autumn. Can be placed in borders or container pots. These enjoy full sun or partial shade Plant your bulbs 2-3x as deep as the bulb is in height. Space bulbs in the soil roughly 2x bulb diameter apart.

For best outcome, plant in well-drained soil in full sun position or partial shade. Plant in Autumn and to flower in Spring.
