Typha angustifolia - Bulrush
Availability: Out of stock
Typha angustifolia, also referred to as Lesser Bulrush or Narrowleaf Cattail, is a hardy perennial aquatic plant that thrives in wetland environments and around ponds and lakes. This plant is a more sophisticated option for natural water settings because of its long, slender stems and thinner leaves than typical cattails.
Â
The plant can grow up to 1.5 or 2.5 metres tall on average, and its long, narrow leaves can go up to 1 centimetre wide. Typha angustifolia bears upright, tightly packed, brown, cylindrical flower spikes at the top of its stems during the summer. The male (pollen-producing) portion of these spikes is located just above the female (seed-producing) portion, with a tiny gap separating the two.

Supplied in approx. 10 litre containers.
