Loved for its ability to naturalise and return year after year, Tulipa tarda produces charming star-shaped flowers in bright yellow with crisp white tips. Called a species tulip due to its wild origins, it offers a more delicate, natural look than traditional hybrids. Flowering in early to mid-spring, it produces cheerful clusters that are ideal for rockeries, borders, or container displays.

This hardy perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, preferring a dry summer rest once established. Water during active growth and allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Pair with crocus, muscari or dwarf narcissus for a vibrant display. An excellent choice for alpine, cottage or naturalistic garden styles. Please note, after the flowering period, plants will arrive without blooms - perfect to plant out for gorgeous flowers next year.

Supplied in 12cm pots.
