Muscari latifolium - Two-Tone Grape Hyacinths - 'In the Green'

Product ref: U10050

Availability: Out of stock

This is such a great little plant that in summer 2005 it was voted as the International Flower Bulb Centre's official bulb of the year. The bottom two thirds of the flowers are coloured a very dark blue and appear near black in certain lights. Each spike is topped by a tuft of striking bright blue flowers giving it a two-tone effect. It is a small plant that packs a big punch when planted in big, naturalistic drifts. Mix it with other spring flowers if you have the luxury of space in an orchard or meadow, or alternatively try planting it with daffodils for great colour contrast or plant several into a pot and place it on a sunny patio.

Supplied as a 9cm pot crammed full with bulbs supplied in bud and bloom ready to bloom indoors or in the garden! Please note, after the flowering period, plants will arrive without blooms - perfect to plant out for gorgeous flowers next year.

a great little plant

I have had this muscari for about 18 years, it started in a small pot and has slowly spread itself around the bed. it is a wonderful harbinger of spring, it shuts its stuff then vanishes and lets other plants take over until it pos up again the following spring. This is a particularly pretty variety of muscari.
