Exceptionally reliable in cooler climates, Vitis 'Golden Champion' is a superb white grape variety that produces bunches of pale green, juicy fruits with a sweet and refreshing flavour. Ripening from early autumn, these attractive grapes hang in abundance, making them as ornamental as they are productive.
This delicious climber thrives in a sunny, sheltered position and benefits from fertile, well-drained soil and support such as trellises or wires. Prune in winter and summer to maintain shape and encourage generous fruiting, and water regularly during dry spells.
