Clematis Vitalba - Summer Flowering Clematis

Clematis Vitalba is also known as Old Mans Beard or Travellers Joy. This wonderful, deciduous climber produces masses of tiny, white star-shaped flowers that smother the plant from mid-Summer through until early Autumn. After the flowers have finished, fluffy, round seed-heads are borne and are loved by birds as a nesting material. Looks beautiful scrambling through a hedge or climbing against a sunny wall. Perfect plant for adding some vertical interest to your garden which can often be overlooked!
