Availability: In stock

The uniquely shaped chilli with a fiery twist, Capsicum baccatum 'Bishop's Crown', is a distinctive and decorative variety originating from South America, prized for its unusual, crown-like fruits and mild heat. Growing to around 5cm wide, they mature into a classic bright red from mid to late summer. With a moderate heat of around 5000-30000 Scoville units, they offer a warmth that is perfect for salads, pickling or stuffing.

To maximise yield, plant in fertile, well-drained soil in a hot, sunny position. Water routinely and feed throughout the initial growing season to boost fruit development, pruning lightly to keep the plants tidy. A brilliant choice with amazing ornamental value due to its unusual shape, which makes it a real talking point as well as a culinary ingredient.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
