Delphinium 'Rainbow Sensation'

Delphinium 'Rainbow Sensation' is a spectacular perennial from the Highlander Series, admired for its densely packed flower spikes and beautifully ruffled, double blooms. From early to midsummer, sturdy upright stems carry masses of soft lavender-blue flowers delicately flushed with creamy green, creating an almost iridescent pastel effect. Its romantic colouring and impressive upright habit make this Delphinium a wonderful statement plant for cottage gardens, borders and summer displays.

Perfect for sunny or lightly shaded borders and large patio containers, 'Rainbow Sensation' prefers fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Keep well watered during dry periods and feed regularly to support vigorous flowering. Taller stems may need supports, particularly in exposed gardens. It matches amazingly with Digitalis, Geraniums and Lupins to create a layered, dramatic and romantic border.
