The Acer palmatum dissectum Firecracker is a spectacular plant with finely cut, deep purple foliage that turns to red in the Autumn. An absolutely stunning Acer that is guaranteed to be the star of any garden. A mound-forming variety, it is ideally located near to a water feature where you can benefit from double the effect as its reflection dances on the surface of the water.
Plant in moist, but well drained soil in either full sun or partial shade sheltered from cold winds.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.

Never planted anything in my life but I youtubed it and planted in my half barrel. Added heavy duty wheels so it can be moved and drilled some drainage holes. Used ericaceous compost and topped up with some mulch. Hope I've it all correctly but any tips would be welcome.
