Smithiana Pussy Willow produces masses of silver-gray catkins in late March.and makes great cut stems.

Much showier than standard varieties, the male catkins turn yellow as they mature when the pollen develops. It can be found widely in Europe, a vigorous grower that flowers prolifically in late winter and is recommended if you want early season garden interest. We prune to ground level every couple of year to keep it nice and compact with plenty of fresh flowering stems at lower level. Very easy to grow, it will grow quickly to fill a space and can even be used as effective screening if desired.

Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.

Bought 2 of these willows on a promotion offer, purely on a whim. They arrived speedily and look so healthy. Great quality. Lots of fresh looking leaves. I was very pleasantly surprised at how big and well rooted these are. Will put on a show very quickly and provide good for those early bees. First class shrubs as was the cornus I bought. Recommend Gardening EXORESS.
