Itea ‘Henry’s Garnet’ is an elegant shrub, admired for its gently arching branches and slender, bottlebrush-like flowers that appear in early summer, lightly scented and full of movement. The fresh green foliage provides a soft, natural backdrop throughout the growing season before transforming into a rich, glowing autumn tone. Its graceful habit and seasonal shifts make it a wonderful choice for woodland gardens, mixed borders and informal planting schemes.

This variety thrives in a lightly shaded position and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It combines beautifully with plants that enhance its texture and seasonal interest, such as Hydrangea quercifolia for bold foliage contrast or Viburnum opulus for added structure. To maintain its shape and encourage healthy growth, prune lightly after flowering or in late winter, removing any dead or crossing branches and allowing its naturally elegant form to develop with minimal intervention.
