Mangave Mission to Mars

Product ref: H23663

Availability: Out of stock

This tender perennial succulent is the perfect unique vibrant plant to brighten up your home or garden. It earns the name ‘Mission to Mars’ as its fleshy arching leaves start a bright green covered in many burgundy-red spots. Eventually the red spots merge to give the illusion of completely burgundy foliage and create a striking picture alongside the red serrated edge. Mangaves are a relatively new plant formed by a cross between Manfreda and Agave, taking the fast growth and patterns of Manfreda but the refined shape of Agave. The red colour looks stunning in the sun so work best in a sunny border or in container planting on a windowsill.

This Mangave performs best in a bright area, thriving in full sun and should be sheltered from cold winter conditions. Place in dry to average, well-drained soil and this succulent is drought resistant once established.

The Mangave can be used as a houseplant and as an outdoor plant. In the event of frost, the plant should be moved indoors, where you can continue to enjoy it.

Supplied in approx. 1.5 litre containers.
