Chamaecyparis pisifera Sungold

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Sungold' is a dwarf conifer prized for its long, thin, thread-like foliage in glowing golden-yellow tones and its irregular, mounding habit. Over time, it can develop into a small tree, offering a valuable structural element and year-round interest, especially during the duller months when colour and form are most needed.

This low-maintenance evergreen pairs beautifully with darker conifers and heathers for contrast and texture. Plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade and water regularly while establishing. Minimal pruning is required; simply trim lightly to maintain its neat, compact shape.
