Nandina domestica Richmond - Heavenly Bamboo

A beautiful variety of the aptly named ‘Heavenly bamboo’. Through summer Nandina has dark green lanceolate leaves that turn red in colour once the autumn arrives. In summer sprays of white flowers are produced and these give way to bright red fruits in winter that almost seem to hover above the foliage.

They will grow in both sunshine and partial shade and are tolerant of any soils and most aspects except maybe for a windy north facing site.

For those who are fond of the Japanese or Eastern style of garden these shrubs are perfect but also fit nicely into a mixed border of planting or even into a container.

Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.
