Ligularia 'The Rocket'

Ligularia ‘The Rocket’ is a spectacular architectural perennial, perfect for bringing height and a burst of sunshine-yellow colour to the garden. In mid to late summer, tall, dark flower stems rise above the deeply toothed green foliage, carrying slender spires packed with vivid yellow flowers. A superb statement plant, ‘The Rocket’ is valuable for brightening shadier areas, and its flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinators.

Plant this robust perennial in a sunny position in poorly-drained soil, the perfect pairing for damp borders and pondside plantings. Keep well watered in hot, dry weather and mulch in spring to help retain moisture levels. Remove faded flower stems after blooming and cut back old foliage as it dies down.
