Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Rosea'
Availability: In stock
Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Rosea’ is a graceful, long-flowering perennial admired for its spires of soft rose-pink flowers. The blooms appear in loose, slender wands, creating a meadow-like effect that brings movement and natural softness to borders. Its relaxed, informal habit makes it especially valuable for adding continuity and colour through late summer and into autumn, blending effortlessly into mixed planting schemes.
This persicaria thrives in a sunny or lightly shaded position and prefers wet, fertile soil, making it particularly well suited to woodland edges or moisture-retentive borders. To maintain the plant, simply cut back old flower stems and foliage to ground level in late winter or early spring, allowing fresh, vigorous growth to emerge for the new season. It pairs beautifully with plants that complement its gentle colouring and upright form, such as Astrantia major ‘Roma’ for refined detail. Ornamental grasses like Deschampsia cespitosa add texture and balance, creating a calm, layered planting.Â
