Rose 'Charles de Mills' is a striking old Gallica rose, cherished for its dramatic, fully double blooms in rich shades of crimson, purple, and magenta. The large, flattened flowers, often with a quartered centre, appear in early summer and carry a light, sweet fragrance. Though it only flowers once per season, the display is bold and unforgettable. Growing to around 1.2–1.5 metres, it forms a bushy, upright shrub ideal for traditional/cottage-style borders or as an informal, flowering hedge.
Upright and arching in habit, it performs best in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in full sun. Minimal pruning is required—just remove old wood after flowering. Combine with grey-leaved perennials or soft pink roses for contrast.
Supplied in approx. 3-5 litre containers.
