Another of our great aquatic native plants that can be planted in up to a depth of twenty centimetres of water on a ponds edge. This herbaceous perennial is noted for its bright yellow glossy flowers that give away its part of the Buttercup family, they have a long flowering period starting May but continuing all through the summer. Its sprawling foliage make it perfect cove for aquatic wildlife and its flowers attract pollinating insects.
Spearwort grows away I either sunshine or partial shade and when content will freely set seed into its surroundings.
