Rhododendron keleticum

Rhododendron keleticum is a delightful dwarf alpine rhododendron prized for its compact, spreading habit and masses of charming lilac-pink flowers in late spring. The delicate blooms, often marked with deeper pink speckles, contrast beautifully against the small, evergreen leaves, creating a colourful carpet of interest in rock, alpine gardens and the front of borders. Despite its diminutive size, this hardy shrub provides exceptional impact and year-round structure.

Rhododendron keleticum is perfect for containers, raised beds and acid-loving planting schemes. Its nectar-rich flowers attract pollinators, while its neat habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens. Plant in moist, humus-rich, acidic, well-drained soil in partial shade or full sunlight. Pair with dwarf conifers, heathers and other compact rhododendrons for a stunning display. Water regularly during dry spells and mulch annually to keep roots cool and retain moisture.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers at around 20-30cms tall and 40cms wide, very bushy plants in bud/flower in season.
