Ribes Speciosum - Fuchsia-flowered Gooseberry

An attractive, spiny, ornamental shrub bearing slender, dark red fuchsia-like flowers in April and May, followed by spherical, bristly, red fruit. This award-winning, fuchsia-flowered flowering Gooseberry is perfect for training into a fan-shape against a sunny fence or wall. It is quite often semi-evergreen in mild areas of the country, although will drop the foliage for winter in colder areas, a really tough tolerate plant, it will survive in a range of soil conditions, including extremely dry and waterlogged. Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
