Hardy aquatic plant that is a dwarf species is a great for the margins of a pond.
The plant characteristics consist of narrow mid-green leaves are perennial and clump forming. Between May an August this plant produces a single, three petalled pure white flowers which are born on single stems and are spread generously throughout the grass-like leaves.
Sagittaria prefers a sunny position but will take partial shade, it can grow in either still or moving water and has a duel ability, being able to thrive in completely submerged water or in the shallows or banks of a ponds edge.
When submerged this plant makes for an excellent oxygenator that will be of great benefit to any fish or wildlife in your pond.
