Tricyrtis formosana - Japanese Toad Lily
Availability: Out of stock
Japanese Toad Lily plants are a valuable Autumn blooming perennial that will thrive in part to full shade and rich, moist soil - so ideal for what could be a difficult position in the garden if you're struggling with a shady spot like this.
The magnificent shade loving flowers are fully hardy, yet bring a touch of the exotic to the end of the summer season, flowering from August to November. They are native to the Himalayas to eastern Asia, and will produce long erect t arching stems that hold striking star shaped flowers. Each flower is a dusky white, often heavily spotted with pink-purple creating a deep blue bruised effect.
Given the right position in shade, these will thrive to provide the beautiful ornamental flowers year after year. Supplied in approx 1 litre containers in bud and bloom in season.
