Wisteria floribunda Longissima Alba - Shiro Noda - Rare White Japanese Wisteria

'Longissima Alba' is a rare, spectacular Japanese Wisteria renowned for producing some of the longest flower racemes of any variety, with breathtaking cascades of pure white, sweetly scented blooms that can reach up to 60cm in length. All of these new Japanese types are flourishing in nature and characterised by very large flowers, all of which have a delightful fragrance. The plants are more compact than many Wisteria varieties and will only climb to around 4-6m. Our plants have been specially grafted to ensure ultra-vigorous plants that flower at a young age. 

Don't just use it as a climber on a fence - Wisteria plants also look wonderful trained as a small weeping tree. Renowned for their superior fragrance, they are an ideal climber for covering a sheltered, sunny wall or strong pergola. These wisterias are much sought after because they are the only species to have beautiful downy foliage, which is soft and furry to touch. This stunning variety produces sharp white flowers that literally explode in glorious spring splendour. Plant in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained soil and provide balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth and prolific flowering. Prune twice yearly to maintain shape and maximise blooms.
