Agave attenuata 'Foxtail agave'
Availability: Out of stock
The graceful succulent Foxtail Agave, is renowned for its eye-catching rosettes of delicate, blue-green leaves and its unusual, curved flower spikes that mimic a fox's tail. With a height and spread of up to 1.5 metres at maturity in bloom, this evergreen plant creates a striking focal point in landscapes and gardens. It's a safer option for patios and pathways because of its spineless, smooth leaves - unlike other Agave varieties that can have sharp serrated edges.
Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. This is a drought-tolerant plant, so water sparingly, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings. In colder winters, shield from harsh frosts. Combine with additional succulents or drought-tolerant plants such as sedums or yuccas to create an eye-catching yet low-maintenance garden arrangement. This can also be used as a first rate houseplant in a brightly lit window or conservatory.
Supplied in approx. 14cm pots.
