Alchornea davidii

Alchornea davidii has elegant heart-shaped leaves which change colour throughout the year, giving your garden plenty of colour and year-round interest. The leaves begin a vivid pink, lightening out into a paler pink, then cream and pale-mid green before turning red and yellow for the autumn. It is a deciduous plant, so the leaves drop in the autumn to make their bright pink return in the spring.

This plant will thrive in any type of soil as long as it is moist and well-drained. It enjoys partial shade in a sheltered position, so make sure to plant it somewhere it won’t get too much sun.
