Anemone Blanda ‘Blue Shades’ brings a soft carpet of violet-blue daisies to the spring garden, lighting up borders, rockeries, and woodland-style plantings with cheerful charm. These low-growing blooms offer a long-lasting display in spring and are perfect for underplanting shrubs or taller bulbs, as well as naturalising in lawns or under deciduous trees.

Plant the hybrid wood bulbs 5 cm deep and 5–8 cm apart in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. For the most natural effect, plant in generous groups of 15–20 bulbs or more. Anemone Blanda pairs beautifully with early-flowering bulbs like Chionodoxa luciliae, Muscari armeniacum, and dwarf Narcissus such as 'Tête-à-Tête', creating a layered, colourful tapestry in spring borders or containers. Perfect in shaded and covered areas, it does well under shrubs and trees.
