Athyrium niponicum pictum 'Silver Falls' - Painted Lady Fern

Athyrium Silver Falls is perhaps one of the best ferns you'll find for garden interest, producing fantastic fronds of silvery-grey-green shading, with attractive maroon-purple midribs, the foliage is a pure delight.

The unique silvery appearance add depth and character to beds and borders or patio planters alike, it's great for smaller spaces too. Easy to grow, it is very low maintenance with a deciduous spreading nature, your fern will grow and mature to around 50cms high and wide, so is very manageable and won't take over. Silver Falls is also an extremely tolerant fern, as it is one fern that will thrive in a sunny spot right to a densely shaded one. 

This has to be one of the most unusual, elegant looking and desirable deciduous ferns available. Try combined with plants that have different foliage shapes, colours and textures for dramatic and stunning effects.
