Availability: In stock

Dahlia 'Jura' is a superb and unusual variety of semi-cactus Dahlia. In mid-summer, it produces simply stunning double blooms that are a creamy-white. The most striking feature of this plant is that each petal is tipped in purple, creating a unique spiky effect. Very attractive and exotic looking blooms whilst being easy-to-care for. Works well in the middle of a border and makes for outstanding cut flowers. Grows to a max height of around 100cms. This plant is supplied as a single tuber. Best time to plant is in April. To plant them, dig a hole at least 20-30cm square and around 20-30cm deep for each one. Cover the base of the hole with 10cms of compost, or manure and give it a good dousing with a full watering can and then plant the dahlia at a depth of 15cms. You may need a stout stake, not just a bamboo cane, to support each plant and it is a good idea to knock this in first and then place the plant by its side. Plant in a sunny spot and keep moist yet well-drained. It will need to be lifted in winter - once the foliage dies back simply dig it up and store in a cool, frost free location.

IF ORDERING EARLY, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SHIP THIS ITEM BETWEEN MARCH & THE END OF APRIL TO ENSURE IT ARRIVES IN PRISTINE CONDITION, AT THE IDEAL PLANTING TIME.
