'Extase' is a stunning variety of Dahlia. This decorative type produces large flower heads with pink-orange petals and a golden yellow centre. The flowers can often take on hues of a soft, apricot yellow. Blooms in mid-summer, well into Autumn and is superb to be used as cut flowers. Growing to only 50cm in height, this compact variety is perfect for the front of a border or even for brightening up the patio in pots and containers.
This plant is supplied as a single tuber. Best time to plant is in April. To plant them, dig a hole at least 20-30cm square and around 20-30cm deep for each one. Cover the base of the hole with 10cms of compost, or manure and give it a good dousing with a full watering can and then plant the dahlia at a depth of 15cms. Plant in a sunny spot and keep moist yet well-drained. It will need to be lifted in winter - once the foliage dies back simply dig it up and store in a cool, frost free location.
IF ORDERING EARLY, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SHIP THIS ITEM BETWEEN MARCH & THE END OF APRIL TO ENSURE IT ARRIVES IN PRISTINE CONDITION, AT THE IDEAL PLANTING TIME.
