‘Crown Prince’ is also a reliable performer in the garden. It grows vigorously in full sun, prefers rich, well-drained soil, and matures in around 100–110 days. The strong vines produce a modest number of high-quality fruits per plant, each with thick skin that allows for storage up to 3–4 months.
