Coreopsis verticillata Sizzle & Spice 'Sassy Saffron'

A colourful member of the Sizzle & Spice series, Coreopsis vericillata 'Sassy Saffron' combines a long flowering season with finely divided foliage. From early summer into autumn, it produces masses of cheerful golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers, each decorated with a burgundy-red eye. The bright blooms contrast beautifully against its delicate, green leaves. Its neat, bushy habit makes this perennial particularly useful for adding lasting colour towards the front of sunny borders.

Perfect for cottage gardens, gravel gardens, wildlife planting, borders and patio containers, this Coreopsis thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant, making it an excellent choice for lower-maintenance planting schemes. Deadhead flowers regularly to encourage further blooms and avoid overly wet soil, particularly during winter. Excellent companions include Lavender and colourful ornamental grasses, creating a relaxed display, rich in texture.
