Cornus alba Sibirica Varigata (Elegantissima) - 150-180cm
Cornus alba 'Sibirica Variegata', also known as 'Elegantissima', is a striking deciduous shrub admired for its coloured winter stems and beautifully variegated foliage. The oval leaves are grey-green, edged with creamy white. In autumn, the foliage turns soft pink and burgundy before falling to reveal vivid crimson-red stems that bring bold colour and structure to the winter garden.
This vigorous, multi-season shrub is perfect for mixed borders, wildlife-friendly plantings, or adding interest throughout the colder months. Small white flowers appear in spring, sometimes followed by white berries that attract birds. For the best stem colour, cut back hard in early spring to encourage new, richly coloured growth.
Thriving in moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade, Cornus 'Elegantissima' is easy to care for and tolerant of exposed conditions. Pair with evergreens, ornamental grasses, or winter-flowering shrubs like Hamamelis for a display of colour and texture throughout the year.
Strong plants in supplied in approx. 10 Litre containers at 150-180cm tall.
