Cosmos plants are popular annuals or perennials, originating from Mexico and Central America. They are perfect for bringing a soft and romantic presence to borders and containers alike. Cosmos Bipinnatus ‘Candyfloss Pink Sunrise’, a delightful member of our collection, produces masses of silky blush-pink blooms with deeper rosy centres and bright yellow eyes above airy fern-like foliage. Its elegant upright stems flower prolifically throughout summer and autumn. Growing to over 1m tall, they are excellent for cut flowers.
Thriving in moist, well-drained soil in a very sunny, sheltered position, Cosmos perform best with regular deadheading to encourage continuous flowering. Water during prolonged dry spells and avoid overly rich soil to maintain sturdy growth. Ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife gardens and floral arrangements.
