Cosmos plants are popular annuals or perennials, originating from Mexico and Central America. They are perfect for bringing a rich and dramatic presence to borders and containers alike. Cosmos Bipinnatus ‘Double Click Cranberries’, a bold member of our collection, bears fully double blooms in deep cranberry-red and burgundy shades with layered petals and golden centres. The luxurious flowers provide outstanding colour from summer through to autumn. Growing to over 1m tall, they are excellent for cut flowers.
Thriving in moist, well-drained soil in a very sunny, sheltered position, Cosmos perform best with regular deadheading to encourage continuous flowering. Water during prolonged dry spells and avoid overly rich soil to maintain sturdy growth. Pair with rudbeckia or cosmos for an amazing seasonal contrast. Ideal for cutting gardens and patio containers.
