Cucumber 'Telegraph Improved' is a traditional favourite praised for its long, smooth-skinned fruits and mild, refreshing taste. This enhanced variety delivers large quantities of thin, dark green cucumbers, with few seeds and a soft texture—ideal for slicing into salads or eating straight from the vine.
Best grown in a greenhouse or in a warm, shaded outdoor location with rich, well-drained soil. Water the vines frequently and give them support as they climb. Pick fruits when they are young and firm to get the maximum crop. Combine with herbs like basil or dill in neighbouring beds to boost taste and attract pollinators.
