Dahlia ‘Karma Sangria’ is a striking and uplifting semi-cactus variety, featuring spiky petals in a vibrant mix of hot pink, golden yellow, and soft orange tones. Its starburst-shaped blooms radiate energy and light, making it a standout choice for borders, summer beds, and tropical-inspired displays. The petals remind us of something you might find in a sweet shop! The pointed petals add dynamic texture, while the strong, upright stems hold the flowers high above the foliage for maximum impact.
Ideal for cutting, simply harvest blooms once fully open to bring their cheerful glow indoors. Flowering from midsummer to the first frost, ‘Karma Sangria’ is a bold and joyful addition to any garden. Plant in full sun in well-drained, fertile soil, and remove spent flowers to encourage more growth.

Supplied as tubers, the best time to plant is in April and May. To plant them, dig a hole at least 20-30cm square and around 20-30cm deep for each one. Cover the base of the hole with 10cms of compost, or manure and give it a good dousing with a full watering can and then plant the dahlia at a depth of 15-20cms. You will need a stout stake, not just a bamboo cane, to support each plant and it is a good idea to knock this in first and then place the plant by its side. It will need to be lifted in winter - once the foliage dies back simply dig it up and store in a cool, frost free location.
