Echinacea 'Lakota Red' is a stunning, compact coneflower that adds a flaming pop of colour to summer borders. Its daisy-like flowers varied in colour of rich crimson, and are centred on distinctive dark cones that attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This clump-forming perennial, which flowers from mid to late summer, is great for adding height, texture, and vivid colour to sunny garden areas or containers.
'Lakota Red' is drought-tolerant and simple to maintain for, preferring well-drained soil and full sunlight. Deadhead wasted blooms to extend their blooming time, or leave them for visually appealing winter seed heads that feed birds. Combine with grasses, Rudbeckia, or Echinacea to create a lively wildlife-friendly display full of contrast and natural attraction.
