French Bean 'Cannelino' is a productive and reliable dwarf French bean, highly valued for its tender green pods and creamy white beans that are perfect for both fresh use and drying. The compact plants produce generous crops of smooth pods, with a delicate texture and mild, buttery flavour. When left to mature, the pods develop plump white beans similar to traditional cannellini types, making them excellent for soups, stews and Mediterranean cooking. Its versatility and heavy yields have made it a favourite among kitchen gardeners.
Thriving in moist, well-drained soil and a sunny, sheltered position, 'Cannelino' is easy to grow and well-suited to beds, allotments and large containers. As a dwarf variety, it requires little staking, though light support can help keep heavily laden plants upright in exposed areas. Keep plants well-watered during flowering and pod development and feed regularly with a balanced fertiliser to encourage continued cropping through summer into early autumn. Harvest pods frequently while young and tender to prolong production, or allow some to fully mature for dried beans later in the season. Easy and rewarding, 'Cannelino' is an excellent choice for gardeners who love productive crops with exceptional kitchen value.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
