Lagurus Ovatus - Hare's Tail Grass - Bunny Tail Grass
Lagurus ovatus, commonly known as Hare’s Tail Grass, is a charming ornamental grass loved for its soft texture and whimsical flower heads. This annual grass forms clumps of slender green foliage topped with fluffy, oval-shaped, creamy-white plumes from summer into autumn. The silky flower heads resemble tiny rabbit tails and gently sway in the breeze, bringing movement, softness and natural elegance to borders, prairie and meadow-style planting schemes. The blooms also dry beautifully, making them highly prized for fresh and dried floral arrangements.
Thriving in well-drained soil in a sunny position, Lagurus ovatus is relatively low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. Allow some flower heads to mature for extended seasonal interest or trim faded stems to maintain a tidy appearance. Pair with cosmos for a relaxed, cottage garden display filled with texture and softness. A delightful grass perfect for adding lightness, movement and unique tactile appeal to summer gardens.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
