Hydrangea paniculata Phantom

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Phantom’ is a showstopping deciduous shrub celebrated for producing some of the largest and most impressive flower heads of any panicle hydrangea. Its enormous, dense, conical blooms emerge creamy white in mid to late summer, gradually flushing to soft pink as the season progresses. Set against deep green foliage, the flowers create a dramatic, cloud-like effect that brings light and elegance to the garden.

Growing up to 6–8 feet tall and wide, ‘Phantom’ has a strong, upright habit, making it ideal as a statement plant in mixed borders, cottage gardens, or as a blooming hedge. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers rich, well-drained soil. Regular watering during dry spells keeps it looking its best, and a hard prune in late winter or early spring encourages the biggest and boldest blooms. Fully hardy, Phantom is a tough shrub, and despite the size of the blooms, the strong branches support them well, making them ideal for cutting tool.
