Also known as the Toffee Apple Tree, Cercidiphyllum japonicum has very good autumn foliage colour in subtle hues of pale yellow and smoky pink, the leaves are sweetly pungent and smell of burnt sugar when crushed - hence the other alternative name!

Originally from Japan and China and introduced into the UK in 1881, it is stunning planted as a specimen in the lawn, or grown as a broader tree. Kept pruned at the read of a border is also another choice use for this wonderful plant. Large Specimen supplied in approx 10 litre containers, at up to approx 120cms tall.
