Hydrangea French Bolero Pink

‘French Bolero’ is a unique and new hybrid hydrangea, creating a wonderful free-flowering display and delicate colour for your garden. This hydrangea was formed from two species, combining the large blooms of H. macrophylla with the elegant, open lace-cap flowers of H. scandens. Unlike other hydrangeas ‘French Bolero’s soft pink blooms open along the length of each stem and cover this plant in a profusion of colour from June to September. These flowers are reactive to the acidity of the soil and will remain pink in neutral or alkaline soils but will display shades of blue and purple in acidic soils. Boasting a compact yet spreading habit and a maximum height and spread of 1 metre, this plant is perfect for mixed borders or as a container plant within a patio or balcony display. 

Place this hydrangea within full sun or partial shade and make sure it is in moist but well-drained soil. It is fully hardy so can be established in exposed or sheltered gardens, however it should be protected from cold winds in winter.
