Hydrangea macrophylla Little XS Purple - Compact Mophead Hydrangea

'Little Purple' is one of the smallest hydrangeas, but it will still provide splashes of summer colour when its long-lasting blooms appear. It's ideal for a patio pot, but it may also be used as a focal point for the summer bedding arrangement or just to fill in the spaces at the front of the border. However, it's important to remember that, similar to other mophead hydrangeas, the colour of the flowers will change according to the pH of your soil. Consequently, it will produce pinker flowers if grown in neutral or alkaline soils.

Ensure regular watering, particularly while the hydrangea is established. Remove faded flowerheads in the spring, and cut back to flowered stems for a stronger bloom. Prefers full sun positions in the garden in well drained soil.
